Outdoor Coaching

Coaching has the power to help people unlock…

…problem-solving, decision-making and idea generating skills they often did not even know they had. It helps them to think creatively, try new approaches and discuss challenges and ideas in a safe, non-judgmental place.

Taking coaching conversations outside, and tapping into the wonderful benefits of nature and natural environments, enhances these benefits even more. Through outdoor coaching, clients can experience awe, find and use metaphors to help them become unstuck from a problem they’re facing, and utilise all their senses to access and understand their emotions and responses to situations. It provides the opportunity to sit, stand, walk, stomp, pause, meander and use movement to represent how they are feeling, as well as the openness and space to face challenges without feeling restrained, either by four walls or their own limiting beliefs.

My approach to coaching is client lead. We work together so the client has the best coaching experience for them. This may involve me suggesting coaching tools and techniques, it may involve sitting and talking, or walking and talking, inside or outside. It will no doubt involve me asking questions, sometimes challenging ones but always done in a safe way. I won’t give you answers or solutions, but I will guide you in finding these for yourself.
